In case you have forgotten, my *giveaway*ends at midnight on Friday, March 12. Be sure to enter to win the lovely Thomas Paul Tree Tote in Black. Since this is my first giveaway I am excited about finding out who will win.
On another note, if you have ever thought about donating even $5 to a worthy cause, please consider donating to my 3-Day Walk for the Cure. I am training hard for this 60 mile walk and I need your help to reach my fund raising goal of $2300. For those of you that have already donated, I cannot thank you enough. If you have contacts that might be interested in being a part of this worthy cause, please forward them the link to my blog. Only by working together are we doing to move closer to a cure for this disease that takes so many women and men in the prime of their lives. "Let's Do It"
On still another note, the sun has come out where I live and it was 72 degrees yesterday and I cannot tell you how it improved the winter fog I had been in for months. Strange what a couple days of sunshine can do for your mood. Do you suffer from the 'winter blues'? If so, how do you handle it? I never think of it as depression, I just think of it as the few months a year that I simply do not feel like doing anything constructive. Oh yeah, I keep the house clean, and do my daily chores but I cannot seem to make myself do much else. Do you feel that way in the winter? Inquiring minds want to know! Tell me how you handle the winter months.
Humor helps--funny TV shows or movies. Also doing fun activities with the kids in the snow or at a museum. I have a little nightlight I usually only have out for Christmas, but I kept that sunny snowman out all winter to brighten my day. Sounds silly, but every little bit helps. I think March is one of the worst months for seasonal affective disorder. Isn't that what they call it? We are just so ready for winter to be over, but spring hasn't quite sprung. Just dreary. At least you put a positive spin on it! I am just doing my best to think happy spring thoughts.
