Thank you to the Texas Roadhouse

Last week on Thursday night the Texas Roadhouse hosted us in our fund raising efforts for the Susan G. Komen Boston 3-Day for the Cure.  For six days previous to that night we passed out flyers to our friends and acquaintances inviting them to bring their flyer on Thursday night and help us earn 10% of their food check.  Lots of people showed up, so thank you to all of them.

The Roadhouse also allowed us to set up a table just outside the doors and sell our bracelets, pink ribbon magnets, and pink ribbon pins.  We also passed out breast self-exam shower cards to all the women entering the restaurant.  We got a great response from everyone, and sold lots of our stock.

I also put a collection jar in my booth at the Flea Market last week-end and collected almost $40 in donations.  Several of those donations came from men who had someone in their family that has been battling this disease.  The generosity of everyone has been wonderful.

If you have already donated, thank you for your support.  If you would like to donate and support this worthy cause, please click on the widget on my sidebar to go directly to the donation page.  With more research and community programs we can help fight for a cure.
