It is Spring Somewhere.....

Today I was at my local grocery doing what one does at the local grocery, trying to find something to eat that does not remind me that it is winter.  I was cruising around the store and when I reached the veggie/fruit section I discovered  'it is Spring somewhere'.  These beauties where there just waiting for me.

They were a little pricey so I thought about it for about 30 nanoseconds and then they jumped into my cart.  I was concerned that they would not be sweet and juicy like my memory of strawberries from last spring.  I was not disappointed, they are every bit as tasty as they look.  I have eaten about 1/2 of them, and when I finish this post I will probably eat the remainder.

This strawberry fix has made it real, spring will be here soon and I am so excited.

  2. If they're a sign of spring, then nearly every day is spring at our house! Our daughter is a strawberry fiend. We grow them in the summer and buy them the rest of the year. There are about two weeks when they're not so great (and very pricey!), so we do citrus fruits instead. Always nice to have big, juicy strawberries on the menu!

  5. We "heart" strawberries in our house and I so miss them in the winter. Hubby got me 12 chocolate dipped ones in place of flowers when Sophie was born and it was heaven on a stick.

Thanks for stopping by the last few days Keii - I miss chatting with you !!

I've been reading, just had to take a step back...I miss everyone on Fellowship but being called a "Butt Buddy" by one of admin. in another blog is just more than I can take. I will continue to read all of you gals blogs and I care about all of you but I can't post there anymore....BTW the reason I am called a Butt Buddy is because I don't agree with their way of thinking about GM....anyway just wanted to explain why I haven't been around....

    Hugs
